The Berks History Center presents From “I Have a Dream” to “I Want to Hold Your Hand:” The Evolution of Modern Media. The exhibit features the six-month span of 1963-64, which witnessed the March on Washington, JFK’s assassination and the Beatles’ first U.S. appearance. The exhibit runs through 13 September. The Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society presents “Say Cheese: Family History through Photographs” on Saturday, 24 April. This all day event will be held at the Lancaster Host & Resort. For more information, and to register, visit www.lmhs.org.

Learn how Native Americans prepared for spring in “Preparing the Earth.” After the session enjoy a traditional meal in the Lancaster Longhouse at Hans Herr House & Museum in Willow Street. Blacksmithing has always been an important occupation. Blacksmiths made fire strikers, door hinges and farm implements, as well as many other items. They were crucial to the early communities. Looking Ahead to 2015
The Chester County Historical Society will hold its 2015 Antiques Show at the Phelps School from 3 - 5 April 2015.

The NGS 2015 Family History Conference will be held 13–16 May 2015 in St. Charles, Missouri, at the Saint Charles Convention Center. More info to come closer to the event.
