This photo is from mom's side of the family but I am unsure of anything more. I believe it is from her father's side and is either a Still or a Van Horn since it has been stored with other items from those two particular lines.
Franklin Still (1853-1931) married Sarah Jennie Van Horn (1864-1946) on 6 November 1884 in Philadelphia. I do not know how the two met. Franklin was the son of George David and Sarah Bing Still. They all lived in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County. Sarah Jennie was the daughter of Chrispin Pierson and Maria Rice Van Horn. They lived, for a time, in Philadelphia.
The back of the photo reveals nothing. There is no markings, not even a photographer's name. I have very few photos of the family so it is hard to compare against others.
Friday’s Faces from the Past is a genealogy prompt that highlight photos, of known ancestors or complete unknowns. It is promoted by GeneaBloggers.
