The US Civil War
was fought throughout the nation. Reenactments are still held on battlefields
and in woodlands. Did you know there was also a naval aspect to the Civil War?
In fact, it was On This Day in 1863 that the Confederate sub HL Hunley attacked
and sunk the USS Houstanic. The attack happened in the Charleston
Harbor in South Carolina.
On
This Day is a prompt I started this month to further explore historical events.
