Joe Smith dedicated a Church of
Latter Day Saints in
Chicago. The Lancaster Daily Intelligencer carried the news On This Day in 1880. The dedication was the day prior. Joe Smith is referred to as a “son of the original Joe Smith.” The brief article notes also that the
Church of Latter Day Saints is also known as the Joe Smith Mormons.
