On This Day: Accident reported at Quarryville coal yard


A slight accident was reported On This Day in 1880 at a coal yard in Quarryville, in Southern Lancaster County. A “gondola car was run over the trestlework”. The wheels on the car broke off. The coal yard was that of David Buffenmyer’s.
