Constable George W. Kunkel arrested John Temple, a burglar, On This Day in 1880. Temple was charged with breaking in the residences of Mrs. Nancy Wilmer of

in the Lancaster Daily Intelligencer (which was much to long to show here) goes
on to say that Temple
was “a stranger in the neighborhood.” Kunkel, who was of Eden
Township , arrested Temple
at the home of James Campbell in Georgetown .
Constable Kunkel brought Temple
before Squire Bachman of Bart
Township . Bachman
committed him to jail to await court.
