I am searching the Novakowski family for a friend. Last
week’s Sunday Obituary featured Alice ’s
husband, Joseph
Novakowski. Today, Alice
is featured.

It reads:
A Devoted caregiver to her
family and patients. Alice A. Heubel Sheldon Novakowski, age 75 of Millcreek
Twp., died Monday, January 10, 2005 at her residence surrounded by her beloved
family. She was born July 26, 1929 in Erie ,
daughter of the late John Heubel and Alice Richards Heubel Sheldon.
Mrs.
Novakowski was employed by the Millcreek
Community Hospital
as a licensed practical nurse for 29 years. She retired from there and the
career she loved in 1992. She was a member of St. Julia Roman Catholic Church.
Beyond filling her role of a nurse with love, compassion and a sense of duty,
the passion of her life was being a devoted caregiver to her beloved family
with whom she lived for and enjoyed spending her time with.
In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Bill Sheldon; four
sisters; three brothers; two grandsons: Steven and Patrick Novakowski and one
great grandson: Fred Vega. Survivors include her beloved husband, Joseph S.
Novakowski; seven children: Joseph Novakowski and his wife Eva of Elko, Nev.
Alice Mando and her husband Mel, Steven Novakowski, Kurt Novakowski and his
wife Gail and Marie Darcie McDaniel and her husband Chuck all of Erie, Frank
Novakowski and his wife Barb of Wattsburg and Felicia Fried and her husband
Harry of Bellefontaine, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and
three brothers: John and Kurt Heubel and Charles Sheldon and his wife Carol all
of Erie. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., West, 536 West Tenth Street ,
an Independent Care Group affiliate, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and are
invited to attend the funeral service there on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment Wintergreen Gorge
