Lancaster Police Officer Weitzel arrested two men in two separate incidents for beating their wives. On This Day in 1880, Officer Weitzel arrested Frantz Keppel. Keppel’s wife charged him with cruelly beating her. Earlier in the week, Officer Weitzel arrested Casper Dittman after his wife charged him with drunkenness and assault and battery.
