In honor of Veteran's Day, Ancestry.com is offering FREE access to its military related databases. I pulled up "Pennsylvania Veterans Burial Cards, 1777-1999" and typed in my church cemetery in Chester County. I got two hits: a Frank P Mascuilli and a Nicholas Turczyn. The "Record of Burial Place of Veteran" offers name, birth date, death date, burial date and location as well as service time, branch, rank, and serial number!
A few other databases available for FREE right now are:
World War II Prisoners of the Japanese, 1941-1945
U.S. World War II Draft Registration Cards, 1942
U.S. Military and Naval Academies, Cadet Records and Applications, 1805-1908
California, WWI Soldier Service Cards and Photos, 1917-1918
