John Charles "Chuck" Eckman III, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at his residence in Perkiomenville. He was 59.
Mr. Eckman owned and operated J. C. Eckman Automotive Inc. in King of Prussia.
Born in Norristown on March 3, 1950, he was a son of the late John C. Eckman Jr. and Anne S. (Stanley) Eckman.
Surviving are his loving family including his beloved wife of 36 years, Hattie T. "Beth" (Trinsey) Eckman; three daughters, Elizabeth E. Danenhower and her husband Michael of Pottstown, Hattie K. Eckman and her husband, Justin Hamarich of Pottstown, and Melanie A. Eckman of East Coventry; "DyDy" to his seven grandchildren, Cassie, Sophia, Nicholas, Madeline, Ayden, Owen and Gabriel; a sister, Linda E. "Lynne" Smith and her husband Howard of Columbia, S.C.; and many nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405, on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at 7 p.m.
Friends may call Thursday evening from 5 to 6:50 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chuck's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 225 City Line Ave., Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
